Not much today. Getting ready to go out. Just wanted to drop a line and say that "No Tell Motel" made the short-list for the Voices anthology. Not a sale, but it's a step up the ladder. Now we wait to see if it makes it to the last round. to be honest, I'm happy just to make it this far.

- J.C. Tabler was raised by a pack of feral lawyers. After being ejected from their pack, he sought employment loading sacks of manure. Since then he has been, at different times, a bouncer, a bartender, a sales clerk, a legal assistant, and a steamboat deckhand. He lives in Louisville, Kentucky, is married, and is hard at work on other stories when time permits.

A zillion congrats JC. I just got my email too and my story didn't make it :( - I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I also got shortlisted for "Voices". But I'm not talking about it..I tend to jinx myself. But best of luck anyway, and here's to hoping our two names will appear on the same TOC!
Cate - I'm certain you'll make it in Ghost in the Machine
Barry - The way I look at it, getting shortlisted was an accomplishment in itself. I figure if I beat out several other good writers to get this far, I can be happy enough even if I don't make it any further. Of course, it WOULD be nice to share the ToC with you, soooo....here's hoping!
